Bel Armenteros
Director and screenwriter
Bel Armenteros was born in Madrid in 1984. She graduated in Philosophy and Literature from the Complutense University in 2008 and completed her Diploma in Film Directing at the Madrid Film School (ECAM) in 2010. His short film Sin palabras, has been selected at more than 90 film festivals around the world, and has won numerous awards, among them at the Los Angeles Latino International film festival, or Alucine Toronto in Canada. Among his works as a short filmmaker, it is worth highlighting: Hypnosis, Inside the Box, Apology and Nana, his first horror short film, awarded at the Horror Frame Fest, as best short film with disturbing scene and best scare. As a director, she has been selected to be part of the Talento Ecam dvd, and her short film Sin palabras has been screened together with other directors such as Paco Plaza, Rodrigo Sorogoyen or Carlota Pereda representing the Spanish short film at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in on 2022. At present, his short film NANA has participated in a horror feature film called Dark Girls, whose pre-release was held in 2023 at the International Fantastic Film Festival (Sitges) within the Brigadoon section.
